Return to Workplace
Role: UI/UX Design
Team: Software Engineers, Product Managers, HR
Challenge: Design an experience for employees to safely return to workplace.
Timeline: 3 months.
Project Background
The pandemic has brought forward a new environment, forcing us to rethink the health and safety measures for not just the workplace, but also but also for how we do business outside the workplace, whether it's through travel, customer/partner visits or team gatherings.
At ServiceNow, the company remain committed to the health and safety of all who enter the workplace. The plan puts our people’s choice first, and company’s places second.
What the team heard from employees
Employees are concerned about the safety when coming back to office.
Employees feel concerned about business continuity during Covid situation.
Executives feel working remotely will impact innovation.
Key features
After some discussion with the team on what direction to go in, we landed on some key features on the app:
Health checks.
Workspace Scheduling.
Employee and workplace readiness.
Wireframes
Once we had a solid direction for the design, I put the designs in front of users and internal stakeholders for testing and feedback. This helped me to narrow the design down to major variation, which I used to establish a single design framework, and thus move into visual design.
